In 1983, a 99 year lease was signed with the veterans organizations in Trumbull. Allowing them to utilize a building on Kaatz Pond, the site of the former historic Kaatz Ice House, for their meetings and services. In 2017, the building was condemned due to a failed foundation.  As a result of being displaced, a committee of veterans, town officials and community citizens was formed to consider service needs and options for the future.........
